Great Fire Remembrance at BHC

Over 150 years ago, one of the most destructive natural disasters in U.S. history tore through Northeast Wisconsin. BHC’s annual remembrance of the Great Fire will include three presentations to recall the early days of the Belgian settlement and how the Great Fire transformed the lives of the settlers.

Author Lynda Drews will return to BHC on Saturday, October 17 to share the research behind her newest book “Disposable Wives”. The book centers on suspicion following Jean Philippe Soquet in the wake of multiple disturbing deaths and disappearances—including those of three of his wives.

A Place at the Table – Food, Culture and Community in Northeast WI

Neville Public Museum in Green Bay features a new exhibit exploring how Indigenous foodways, agricultural heritage, and generations of immigrant influences shaped the region's culinary landscape for generations. BHC was honored to contribute Belgian recipes, artifacts and photos for this collection.

The Belgian Heritage Center is a great location to host your event. BHC’s facilities accommodate family reunions, weddings, conferences and other gatherings. Options include indoor or outdoor gathering, catering kitchen, banquet tables/chairs, audio/visual equipment and food service equipment.
