Elie and Emma were married at St. Mary of the Snows Church in Namur on May 30, 1898.
Elie Chaudoir
Elie was born on July 4, 1872 in Beauvechain, Belgium. He came to the United States at just one year old in 1873 with parents Justin and Anatolie (VanCaster) Chaudoir.
Emma Evrard Chaudoir
Emma was born on February 19, 1876 in Namur, Wisconsin to Francois (Frank) and Floratine (Patris) Evrard.

Francis Chaudoir 1898-1946
Son Francis married Mary Bournoville on November 16, 1920.
John Chaudoir 1900-1973
Son John married Mamie Delwiche on October 26, 1921.
Harry Chaudoir 1903-2003
Son Harry married Hazel Englebert on October 11, 1924.

Daughter Palmy married Harvey Jeanquart on February 5, 1924.
Mary Chaudoir Gerondale 1907-2001
Daughter Mary married Zerie Gerondale on November 27, 1927.

Daughter Lema married Hubert Lampereur on November 5, 1929.
Grace Chaudoir Lampereur 1913-1974
Daughter Grace married Harry Lampereur on November 3, 1931.
Entrepreneurs
Elie was involved in various businesses with family members and others including a saw mill and flour mill in Brussels and Chaudoir's Dock in Namur.
General Store
Elie and Francis also owned a General Store in Brussels. It remained in operation for several years after Francis died.
Evrard Farm and Business
The family lived at Emma's family home. Along with extended family, they operated a farm, cheese factory, tavern and post office next to St Mary of the Snows Parish. Emma's family donated the land for the church. The rectory and church can be seen in the background. Tavern and son Francis are in the foreground.
Tragic Death
Elie died tragically on February 2, 1936 when the car he was riding in struck a mail truck head on in icy conditions on the Namur curve. Despite the damage to the vehicle, his son, John, survived the crash with only minor injuries.
Emma's Passing
Emma died unexpectedly on July 15, 1939 of a heart attack, leaving behind her children and many grandchildren.
At Rest
Elie and Emma are buried at St. Mary of the Snows Cemetery in Namur, their final resting place once decorated by flowers.
