Henry Englebert
Henry F. Englebert
Henry was a cheese and butter maker, having his early start at Misiere school and receiving his religious education in Namur in the summer time. He attended St. Mary of the Snows while staying with a local family just a half mile from the school as Misiere was too far for him to walk. His parents would barter with different items for his lodging.
Desire and Emmerence (Gaspard) Englebert
Henry was born on December 10, 1882, the son of Desire Englebert and Emmerence (Gaspard) Englebert. Desire was born in Gembloux in Namur, Belgium. Emmerence was born in Thorembais, Belgium. They immigrated to America in the 1860's.

Henry and Louise (DeDecker) Englebert
Henry married Louise DeDecker on October 19, 1904 at St Michael Church in Misiere. When Henry was courting Louise, he would cut across to the next forty, walking through the plowed fields. He would remove his shoes and walk barefoot, thus saving his shoes from getting dirty and to save wear and tear. Walking across the field cut down the walking miles. Many times they would go to the town dance hall.
Theophille and Julia (La Coque) DeDecker
Louise's parent were Theophile DeDecker, born in Thorembais, Belgium on April 8, 1855 and Julia (La Coque) DeDecker, born in Meux, Belgium, province of Namur on December 17, 1855.
Duvall Store 1915
Henry started his cheese making career in Duvall in a cheese factory next to the Duvall Store. He later moved to the Brussels Cheese Factory located on County C next to Chaudoir's store. In 1925, Henry and Louise moved to Namur where Henry made cheese at the Fairland Cheese Factory. Henry ended his cheese making career in Green Bay working for Pauly Cheese Company as an inspector and grading cheese.
Daughters Helen and Hazel
Henry and Louise had two daughters while in Duvall. Hazel (Englebert) Chaudoir was born in July 1905 and Helen (Englebert) Charles was born in June 1907.
Henry and Louise 75th Anniversary
On June 28, 1944, Henry and Louise left Green Bay to move back to Namur (Fairland) and Henry retired. There they joined St Mary of the Snows and again became part of the community.
Henry and Louise memorial
Henry passed away on September 17, 1980 at the age of 97. Louise passed away on September 29, 1982 at the age of 97. They are buried at the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
